Bringing People Together…
Our state-of-the-art intergenerational hub helps people experience inclusion and addresses the needs, wants and aspirations in the themed uses of recreation and leisure, learning and development, youth community activities, functions and events and a community cafe, garden and shop.
Local residents share, exchange and engage in formal and informal learning, and develop business and enterprise skills in an accessible, welcoming environment that contributes to the positive wellbeing of our community. Through partnership working and community engagement we seek to reduce isolation, challenge and remove barriers to participation, and create opportunities for people of all ages, from all walks of life and with a variety of interests, to come together.

Our intergenerational and collaborative practice encourages, develops, and facilitates inclusive activities which increase tolerance, celebrate diversity, and promote individual and community wellbeing.
Embedding intergenerational practice at HOS.CC is key and we work in partnership to enhance community connections and address priorities set by GCC Area partnership priorities to address investment priorities and support recovery, health and wellbeing, employment, young people, vulnerable people and families, whilst promoting a safer, fairer sustainable community.
How we do this is by bringing people together through purposeful, mutually beneficial activities to promote greater understanding. We want everyone to be better connected, less socially isolated and more actively engaged with their community, contributing towards active citizenship, increased independence, wellbeing and self-confidence across the generations.
We achieve this with funding support from The National Lottery Fund and The Robertson trust.
